StoreForge

Privacy policy

StoreForge is a static content site. We collect as little as possible, we explain our Google Analytics setup and how to switch it off, and we tell you plainly what happens when you follow an affiliate link.

What we collect

StoreForge is a static site with no user accounts. We do not sell personal information. Traffic is measured with Google Analytics 4, set up as described below. If you email us, we keep that correspondence only to answer you and to log corrections.

Google Analytics and cookies

StoreForge uses Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC and Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure which pages are read. It collects pages viewed, the referring site, approximate location at city or country level, device and browser type, and session timing. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off; the data is not used for advertising and is never sold.

GA4 sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, that last up to two years — but only after analytics is allowed. Readers browsing from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland are asked first via a banner, and nothing is sent to Google unless they click Accept. Everyone else has analytics on by default and can turn it off at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out. The choice is stored in your browser's local storage, under the key analytics-consent, rather than in a cookie.

You can change your analytics choice at any time; the link reopens the banner. Google's own data practices are set out in Google's privacy policy, and Google provides a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

When you click an outbound affiliate link, the hosting provider (or its affiliate network, such as Impact or Cloudways' or Kinsta's in-house programs) may set a cookie to attribute a later purchase to us. That process is governed by the provider's and network's own privacy policies, not ours. You can decline or clear those cookies in your browser. We explain which links are affiliate links, and how the commissions work, in our affiliate disclosure.

Newsletter

If we offer an email list, we use your address only to send the updates you asked for — price and renewal changes, and PCI or security news — and you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not share or sell the list.
